If the student is attempting a master's degree and reaches the five year eligibility limit, they are denied further aid until a master's degree has been conferred, at which time they would regain eligibility for a second master's, doctoral, or professional degree. The student then regains eligibility for a second undergraduate or a graduate degree. For example, if an undergraduate exceeds 180 credits, the student is denied further aid until the degree is conferred (the student graduates).
